Anyone who knows Shawna knows that Shawna bakes.
Though I have been a professional photographer for just over a year, the one subject that had still eluded me was my own wife, Shawna. So, before Christmas, inspired by her purchase of a pretty new apron and her love of baking, we joined forces in the kitchen for a fun little session of photos and cupcake making. Despite her shyness around a camera, Shawna couldn’t hide her charm, and it shines through in these photos.
I’m not the easiest man to love, but despite my missteps and shortcomings, this beauty has supported me with love and grace as I navigate my way through this crazy life, and I love her very much for it. She is my best friend, and this is how I see her, always.
