You don't need an remarkable occasion, such as an engagement or a wedding, to have some photos taken of yourself. Just ask Brittany and Nick. This young couple contacted me to have some photos taken of them and their beautiful dog, Ginger, just to mark this point in their lives. And I think that's a great idea!

I love the wonderful feedback that I receive on my photography. I love to see how my work connects with people, and who connects with which photos. I receive feedback from a variety of sources, from word of mouth to blog comments to my social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, and Instagram. And any time someone takes the time to provide me feedback, it's meaningful to me. But some of the responses that I receive touch me in a very significant way. Yesterday, I received an email from an admirer of my work, and I was very deeply moved by it.

Well, today, I'm taking my next big step as a photographer and artist.

Just now, I was browsing my photo collection, as I often do, looking for photos to share with you, to add my portfolio, or to just reminisce. In looking through my photos, I realized that almost every one of my photos comes with a tale.

You may have noticed that the Portfolio section of this site has been slowly growing over the past week or two. Or maybe you haven't.

The feedback on the new site and its design has been flattering and very motivating. Thank you so much! But what you've seen is only the beginning. That's right. There's more! I have big ideas for this site. I don't want to give them all away, but here are a few.
