Every wedding celebration that I have been fortunate enough to be a part of as a photographer has been very unique from one another. While they no doubt all share similarities, each couple and each celebration has a personality and life of its own that separates it from another. The wedding between Whitney and Tim was no exception, and I am absolutely thrilled to share their story with you.

With 2011, my first wedding photography season, under my belt, and after a seemingly-long winter break, I looked forward to kicking off my second year as a wedding photographer with much anticipation and excitement.

Most weddings have more than a guest or two leaving with teary eyes. This ceremony, more so than most. If this story doesn't demonstrate the inspiring power of family, nothing will.

I love weddings, plain and simple. I love the symbolism behind them. I love the pageantry. I love the love that overflows when two people spend a day with the people they care for most, celebrating a life chosen together. I love how each wedding has its own very distinct personality. The wedding of Maya and Alonso this past Thanksgiving was hardly short on personality, and I, not to overuse the word, absolutely loved it.

On a Sunny thanksgiving weekend in Edmonton, Elaine and David said a heartfelt "I do" and became one in marriage.

Despite an otherwise wet summer, on July 2, 2011, the sun shone brightly down on Anna and Jason as they welcomed their closest family and friends in joining them on their wedding day.
